not asking for diagnosis as it would be very hard to do online.

but just curious if anybody else here had this problem with theirs.

My Car: 03, 35k miles, Touring, 6speed.


Every now and then, the engine wont start, it will turn freely, but wouldn't start as if there was no fuel or spark.

The only thing I can guess is that after a little bit of rough/hard driving, if I turn the motor off for a minute or two, then start it again, it would do that.

This happened once about a month ago, but twice today.

I had to wait for about 5 minutes before giving it another crack and then it starts right up as if there was nothing wrong.

 

it can't be the battery because the motor cranks freely without any struggle.

I doubt its the spark plugs either because it would misfire continuously.

You can check your fuel filter to see if it needs replacing, they're usually pretty cheap. Also try cleaning your MAF by spraying a little carb/brake cleaner at it and letting it air dry. At 95k miles, it could very well be your spark plugs faulting as well.

 

run an OBDII on it and check the code
