Default What happened to my car?

ok FYI I have an 05 Enthusiast 6 spd manual transmission, Pop Charger and 5/16th iso thermal spacer. any way i was driving today and was going id say anywhere from 65-75 accelerating out of a turn and then once im out of the turn i look down and i see my check engine light, oil light, and battery light all lit up at once... my oil pressure gauge read zero and my steering wheel took ALOT of effort to turn. i switched into neutral shut the car off then turned it back on and that seemed to fix it. any ideas what happened? common problem? i have 33000 miles on the car as well any input would be helpful Thnx!

Sounds like you experienced the infamous stall. The JWT popcharger loves to stall the engine when you're cruising and engage the clutch...but only on some cars. Basically your battery died, that's why all your lights came on and you had no power steering. Try resetting your ECU by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes.

It doesn't sound like he engaged the clutch.. but.. it may well be the popcharger since it started up and drove like nothing happened
Though, the popcharger usually fails on certain cars when put in neutral traveling at high speed..

Ive read about the pop charger stalling out ur car but im pretty sure the car was still on cuz i was still on the gas and heard the engine running and heard it shut off when i turned it off... i could be wrong tho but im positive i would have felt the car die on me as i was accelerating out of a turn.. ill reset the ecu tonight and update if it happens again or not--- also i got a reply from the other z forums and they said it might be a loose belt?

Please give us an update on your situation. I just recently had the same problem. Having battery charged at Advance (since I sat for 5 hours with my hazards on waiting for a tow truck). Hopefully when I pop it in it will fire right up. I'll pop out the alternator and see if it went out also. Seems very abnormal for this to happen.

My girlfriend was driving and going about 130 when there was a sudden loss of power. She shifted down to 5th and I yelled "omg don't overrev", doesn't seem like she overrevved it or popped the motor. But the car stayed "stalled", I didn't have tools to disconnect the battery, so just had AAA tow it. Battery died from waiting for tow, so I'm hoping that it. I cant afford a seized or otherwise damaged motor. :/

how long have you had your pop charger?

when I first installed my mishimoto intake the car would constantly stall after a semi-hard accel....it fixed itself now though

Mine stalled once... reset ECU. Never happened again.
