I don't drive my Z as much as i want to. Only got 5300 miles on it since December. Should I change the oil every 3 months or every 3K miles. In 3 months, i usually only do around 1.5K miles. Just wondering on what other ppl's opinions are. I'm getting mixed reactions from others

 

I do mine at 4K but I bet most on the board would freak over that and insist on about half that.

 

I use Mobil 1 and change the oil & filter every 10K miles or 12 months, whichever comes 1st.

 

i go with 4 months or 3k miles or organic oil, whichever comes first.

 

I use synthetic and go with 7,500 mi or 6 months. The synthetic is probally good for a lot more than that but 7,500mi/6mo keeps it within the recommended service interval of the owners manual.

 

I'm new here, was reading the owners manual and they don't recommend synthetic. Thought that was strange???
