check engine light and various codes
recently my car(03 perf. 100k+ miles NO mods) started to lag when on the throttle. It feels like traction control kicking in constantly but will even do it with vdc off. At first i thought plugs or coil packs, checked, all were good. Then i remembered it doesn't do it at idle. Disconnected the battery, help for maybe 5 or 10 minutes but it came back, this time with an ses light. p1122, p0102, p0233, p0123 were the codes 3 of the codes say tps out of range one says maf out of range. I checked voltages, compared with the service manual and they checked good, voltage raised and lowered with throttle as it should voltage going to the maf was fine and was sending the proper voltage as well based on idle and outside temps. So i took it to a dealer knowing they would be able to dig into the codes deeper:
edit: it must have drafted and sent the draft instead of the final post.
any ways the dealer told me that a throttle body may or may not fix it, same thing with a maf. Anybody
else ever have this problem, there is no point in me paying any more dealers to do the recommended course of action. Should i just start with a throttle chamber and go from there(does greddy or any other quality after market make a throttle body or maf) just wondering want to get out of this with as little money out of pocket as possible, but i dont want a hong kong ebay parts store underneath my hood either.
