Default Loose feeling gas pedal. Anyway to increase pressure / improve response time?

I drive a auto 2006 350z. The gas pedal feels a little loose. Kinda have to press it down a bit before you feel any action. I've been in a couple Z's and as soon as you step on the pedal you can feel the power. Just curious if there is any mod, part, replacement feature, anything at all that can be done to stiffen the gas pedal and quicken the response time?

A manual transmission will certainly fix that

actually, might have something to do with the electrical system since that is pretty much what the gas pedal is. might have to go get it checked out because you should get instant response when stepping on the gas. service manual didn't really get into too much specifics except check the connections and that.

I have the same issue. When I first got the z I had to be careful of the tr because it was so responsive it was ridiculous, Now after 2 years driving the auto, its not there anymore.

ZO4; when you mean get it checked out do you mean go to the dealer and they can adjust it? I really dont like going to the dealer but if they are the only ones that can make it feel better than by all means. But if you have any other idea where i can take it to would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any idea on who to adjust it or does it have to be done by a pro?

The pedal itself is fine, not physically loose, just the throttle response is slow.

I tried taking it to the dealer but they said everything was fine..

Has anyone heard of: Sprint Booster?

http://www.sprintboostersales.com/

It's supposed to greatly improve throttle response.

It's drive by wire. there will always be a momentary lapse in response time. It is likely it is an issue that you feel needs correcting but in reality is merely the response time.

Throttle response sounds more like it. Get it checked.

car's ecu actually adapts to driving habits , may be that when u just got the z you would get on the gas more and have since mellowed out , I know I'm guilty of that. When I took the car on a road trip and was on the gas reving the hell out of it , it was noticeably much more responsive for a few days after . It's since gone back to normal since I don't drive as aggressive as I used to. You might want to look into a reflash , I've heard it does wonders for the cars throttle response.
