Has anyone actually had the fuel issue fixed?
I have read numerous threads regarding the fuel filling issue. Quite few helpful ideas how to get a full tank fill (turn the nozzle upside down, go to specific brand stations, make sure you are facing West, etc.). I have read that there are a couple, or a few, TSB's regarding the filler hose, the shutter valve, the fuel sending unit, and so on. Just curious as to who, after having the fill issue, actually got it fixed to where everything works like it's supposed to and what was the repair that did the trick?
I have had the shutter valve TSB done, the hose TSB done and the sending unit replaced to no avail. Since all of the work is covered under my extended warranty I have been taking it to the dealer. Since the last repair (sending unit), I got 12 gallons in (gauge showed below 1/4 tank) and now shows 1/2 tank. The dealer now wants me to leave the car with them for a few days (they will provide a rental) to find out what the problem is.
As punishment, I am not washing my car this weekend. That will show it.

Well, they kept the car overnight. When I picked it up the fuel gauge read past the full mark. I have never had the fuel gauge read past the full mark, always stopped at around 7/8 full. I have 321 miles on the trip odometer, DTE shows 97 miles and the fuel gauge shows about an eighth of a tank remaining. Again, a first for my car. I am going to fill up on the way to the office so we'll see how much fuel it takes. If it takes more than 12.5 gallons (and it should take well more than that) I will consider the issue finally resolved. If it doesn't, I don't know.....
The tank took 15.2 gallons. I am happy.
I didn't mention that my extended warranty covered it all, except the deductible ($75). The dealership picked up the deductible and is reimbursing me for the cost of the removal and re-installation of my amps and sub that I had mounted in the rear glove compartments.
