Yes it makes noise when in neutral and clutch is fully out, and goes away when being pushed in.

I noticed once that the car moved slightly when I let the clutch out in neutral but can't reproduce it so I figure it was shifting weight quickly when letting the clutch out. (Weight of my leg not clutch pedal lol)

Just an update. Took the car to the dealer, not really able to duplicate anything "of concern". Fine with me, document, print, and in my file at home. My service guy tells me that some Z trans' are noisier than others, and that the noisier they are, the stronger they are built...

..I'll just keep thinking to myself he's just trying to make me feel better. lol.
