Default Problems with starting my Z

Hello fellas. I am having issues starting up my Z. When cranking the ignition, seems like there is not enough juice to crank up the starter. I don't think its a battery issue. The voltage reads the same as always and all lights are working fine without any dimming. I'm thinking it could be the spark plugs. This car already has 59,000 miles and had never changed the spark plugs or even had a tune up. Could this be the issue?

Any help out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

just go with an interstate battery or if you want a expensive high maintenance battery go with the solid state one( nothing but problems god forbid it gets cold out). Your problem does sound like a battery, a battery can put out the correct voltage, but not the right amp. Spark plugs are not like they use to be an old carburated car would need them changed about every 20k EFI cars about every 100k. go the cheap route get to autozone and have them check it for free or it you have an ammeter you can do it

+1 on the battery. Worn plugs will
cause a misfire or no startup, but has nothing yo
do with cranking power.

thanks for all your help. I will check out autozone tonight.

Could it also be the alternator?

if once the car starts and it stays running... doubt it like i said before go to autozone it is a gauge that will determine the integrity of the electrical system and it is a free service, contrary to most cars, the Z's volt meter gauge is quite accurate in telling you the current charge or discharge of the system

Thanks qqqqball. You were right. The battery was at the end of its life. Got a new Duralast battery and car starts and run with no problem. Appreciate everyones help on this.
