Default Time to change out fuel pump assembly? HELP

Filled up car till it started clicking and i'm only showing 3/4 full asked my mechanic n he said the fuel module goin out? I'm at 110k is that normal

How hard is it to change? gotta drop full tank?

Always used lucas fuel cleaner every oil change so i didn't expect this.

The level sensor, filter and pump are one unit. And of course access is from the top of the tank. Service manual has complete details for removal and installation.

my car along with many others have done this since day 1...i really wouldnt worry about it...my gas gauge gets all funky sometimes and says i have like no gas when i really have about 1/4 tank..its very common on the z's

my car used to do this but it fixed itself after 18 months of driving. Personally I would just live with it. not a big deal. hadnt had this isssue in years.
