Question Tire Pressure sensor - How to read it?

Anyone know how to read the tire pressure sensor?

There are numbers on top and bottom, which is for the right/left side of the car???

I just got a low pressure beep on my car, but no way to know which tire it is.

Thanks.

Freshzz, your question has been asked many times before with no clear answer. My 2003 manual does not state which is left or right. I have thought about reducing the pressure on one side to see which number would change but have not done so yet. RoadRagerInTherapy, perhaps you would be so kind as to RTFM and tell us which is the left tire pressure and which is the right. Maybe the Canadian manual has this information, the 2003 US manual supplied with early production cars does not. Please scan the page from your manual and post it. Tell us the page number / paragraph in your manual where you have found this information. We should help people with questions, not insult their intelligence.

This may help: I had a screw in my left rear tire that caused a slow leak. When the PSI alarm went off, the bottom number of the display showed 21PSI. Based on this, I'd say the display shows the right then left, top to bottom.

People-people-people!

The correct answer (from previous posts) is that the display from Nissan PURPOSELY does not distinguish the left/right orientation of the Front (or rear) tires on the display. This is because the top display/bottom display numbers are sequenced in the order that the Nissan technician initializes the tire pressure monitors at each wheel when the system is activated as a part of the pre-delivery dealer prep process.

If your dealer tech using the magnetic ring device initialized the left tire sensor before the right tire sensor, then the display would read left-top and right-bottom. If he initialized the right tire first, then vise-versa. Nissan does not distinguish the display orientation in the manual to avoid liability if the tech deviates from a certain procedure. "Arizzee" had the left tire on the bottom; my car had the right tire on the bottom of the display. "Bastard" is absolutely correct in that a $2 or backup tire pressure gage will pinpoint the problem, AFTER the display alerts you to that problem!

"freshZZ" - the answer is that there is no set pattern as delivered. As a part of getting to know your car, release a couple of pounds of pressure from one side's tires and then read the display so you know what YOUR car is set up as. Refill tires to correct pressure. Drive it and have fun! Life is short - enjoy the ride!
