I feel that my problem is worthy of its own thread because I have a seperate symptom that has to be related...

Problem: My passenger window will go down from the passenger door controls only (not by the driver's side) BUT will not go up at all:

I searched, cleaned the motor, rebuilt the motor following Binder's thread and that did nothing. Before I went and purchased another window motor I figured I would try to jump the circuit by disconnecting the passenger side window controls and just taking a piece of insulated wire and touching different terminals until the window moved...

The first thing that happened was the driver's side window went all the way down then I got a spark from touching to terminals and then from another two terminals... I put the passenger controls back on and VIOLA everything worked!!! I didn't even realize that my door lock controls weren't working either because I never used (always used key fob to lock my car)...

I put the door back together, reset the window and let her sit over night feeling very proud of myself... Then I come out yesterday and we are back at square one... No door locking from either side control and the passenger side window will roll down from the passenger side controls only...

I've kinda ruled out a blown fuse or I would've never got it to work again... Does this sound like a bad ground??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The passenger side window will go down from the passenger side controls when the car is completely off??????

 

I have the same problem but idk if its just the window switchs.

 

Update:

I rebuilt the window motor which really just consisted of replacing the brushes and right now the window works perfectly... It's a little louder than "stock" since the new brushes will take some rotations before they are grooved down but considering the $3.50 I spent on the brushes compared to $140 new, I can't complain...
