Broken Bolt in the valve cover
So I made a boneheaded move a few weeks ago reinstalling the ignition coils. Tried to force the first one on the driver side in at a slight angle and the top of the bolt broke.
I took it to an EDM machine shop and they told me there is not enough metal to ground it. A maintenance guy decided to drill an off center hole so an ez out is not a good option.
at this point i'm going to try drilling the entire bolt out. I was wondering if there is a way to take out the entire metal part with the threads that holds the bolt. It looks like it's superglued and locked in by a groove design to the plastic valve cover. Anyone have experience with this? If I could remove this part I could save myself $200 on replacing what is a perfectly functional valve cover.
