Why is it every time I go to a stealership I have to fight to get them to do what they are there for?
I went to the dealer to have my seat-belt replaced under warranty. The service writer then informs me that they are not covered under warranty because, Get this, I have after market seat extenders and the belts will not be covered. I have worked on cars a long time and have never heard of such a thing and every part of the seat belt is factory. Then he argued with me so I told him to get a manager. So me, the manager, and the service writer go take a look. They had to compare it with two other 350s before they decided it was factory and ordered the parts.

Not only that but the Techs and the service writer have not clue about the vehicle. I just wanted to vent!!!

 

IMO, I think service writers are there to make the service dept. money... So, obviously they are gonna try to throw any excuse to get you to pay for work to be done...

 

lol they tried to give me a deal by giving 20% off on a $100 oil change!!! I told them "no thank"s and "stick the oil change up your a$$"

 

$100 oil change?!?!? does it come with a lap dance?!

 

my seatblet rattles. inside of the triangular thing at the top.

wonder if they would warrenty that?


seatbelts have lifetime warrenty of the car right?

 

They only cover seat belt mechanics for ten years can't remember how many miles.
