Default RPM Gauge Not Working +SLIP/VDC OFF illuminated

I took my car to get the code(s) checked at Advanced Auto. It was P0507 Idle Control RPM High. He cleared the codes. I cranked up my car and drove off, and now my RPM gauge is not working(it stays at Zero RPM), and the VDC and Slip lights are illuminated at all times. help!

OBD codes are a good diagnostic tool but not foolproof. Instead of clearing codes do you think it a good idea to fix the problem?

Well I just cleaned the throttlebody with a toothbrush and seafoam deep creap, and replaced the plugs, I considered the possibility of it just being a glitch.

Cranked up the car tonight, everything back to normal, but still high idle. Did I cause some kind of malfunction by manually opening the throttle blade, while the car was off?

Have you gone full throttle while driving yet? Maybe you need to so the computer will recalibrate the pedal position sensor.

I think there is some throttle/pedal position reset trick you can do to reset this, might help. Check out this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...asurement.html
