Ok, i've done some searching around but haven't found my specific problem. if its been covered already, can someone point me to the correct thread. Sorry, still new to the Z.

Both of my keyfobs have stopped working. Kind of. Yesterday after work i tried to lock up with the fob but nothing happened. i know the battery was almost dead so i grabbed the spare. still nothing. it worked fine parking at in the morning work and leaving work, just when i got home.

I went out and bought a 2 batteries figuring both were dead. nothing once again.

tried the reprogram sequence, get the first flash with the key but when i press a button on the fob, no flashers. tried with the doors locked and without.

today was the exact same chain of evens. morning, worked, after work worked, get home, nothing.

any ideas?

 

Update...

ok, problem went away for a day, but the next day it happened again with another issue. the TPMS sensors seemed to be not working. only the one of the rear showed up on the display.

Can these 2 be related? is there something else that handles everything that is non-engine related?
