Ok was enjoy the sunny weather, went to put the top up and at the final stage the black top bit would not go down in the back. and when I tried to re-open the roof, the metal cover plate lifted up and then stopped. wouldn't go either way!! so it's stuck halfway. Can anyone help, even if there is a procedure for manual closure, until I can get it to a dealer (dread the thought!!!)

Please help if you can, this is kinda urgent... cheers!

There is no "metal cover plate"... please rephrase or show us a picture.

Go do some searching in the Roadster forum... that may be worth your time.

 

I have a similar problem. I was going to take my top down and it got stuck in the halfway position. I can hear a click coming from that area and a small movement but stuck. I would appreciate any help. Had to stop and buy a tarp to put over it.
