Default Doors open when "locked"

Ok I have done a ton of searching but no where have I found the answer, when I lock my Z with the FOB and either hit the button once, or twice I can still get into my car...however the alarm does go off. Is this just how the Z is or can I do something about the doors not opening unless being "unlocked" by the FOB.

Sorry I can't help you fix it, but I can assure you that that is not normal. That would be the worst security system in the world.

If you "lock" the doors and can "open" the doors they must not be locked. You will have to get that fixed.

^He means if you hold the unlock and lock buttons down at the same time for a few seconds....it will lock but not honk. Vice Versa

yeah, OP, that is not normal. You need to go to a nissan or car repair shop and have them look at the electonics that lock the doors. Seeing as how it's both doors, and not just 1, i would think it has to do with a relay switch

Looks like im going to the dealership... the doors lock when using the key manually, not that Im too lazy to do it this way, but it just annoys me that it won't do it with the FOB. Thanks for the input!

Are you using the OEM keyfob and hitting unlock or lock to lock the doors? Your post is not very clear about that.
