Default Lower MPG and less 'peppy' after Electronic Throttle Control Actuator replacement???

My electronic throttle control actuator failed a few weeks ago, and was replaced under warranty. Since the replacement, I've noticed an even 1 MPG drop in fuel economy. This wouldn't bother me too much, except it seems to have come with a slight DROP in performance. The throttle attack feels different - less edgy. I have to depress the gas further to get the engine response I'm used to; wide open throttle doesn't seem quite what it used to be. Also, the car idles slightly higher; more like 800-900 rpm on on the main tach. Used to be closer to 650-750...
Is it worth taking to the dealer for "tuning?" Can anything be done?
Thanks!
Mika

It could be that the dealer did not perform the relearning process as spelled out in the service manual. First, the ECU is reset to tell it to recalibrate the MAF, then the throttle plate positions are learned (idle - WOT,) and the accelerator pedal throw is learned.

If you want to perform this yourself, I've posted the entire process in previous threads. Just search. You can do it from behind the wheel in your driveway with a stopwatch.
