So today, my battery light and brake light came on while I was driving down the hwy. The voltage was reading about 1v higher than normal. I checked the fuse under the hood and it was blown, so I replaced it and everything went back to normal. I thought that was problem solved, but it just blew again after 20 minutes of driving.
What could me problem be?? ...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Bump for some help...
a little back ground info that might help... I have no after market electronics other than a UTEC and gauges that have been in there for years. I do have a vented hood, maybe water could have caused damage to the alternator? It is blowing fuses immediately now... something is either touching or the alternator is no good, I suppose?...

...well just in case someone else has this problem...
I pulled the alternator, it checked out just fine. So, I started tracing the alternator lines, the positive one was very close to a pipe running off the passenger side turbo. It looked to have melted the wire in a tiny spot. I electrical taped it up (because only 1 wire looked to be exposed) and then heat wrapped it. So far, no more blown fuses. I'm really praying it stays that way...
