Default how do i check my fuel pump?

I’ve got an 03' touring with 153,000 miles. Haven’t had a problem starting except when I put my plenum spacer on and k&n air charger a while back. It would turn over but choke out. It was obviously the throttle body and didn’t have a problem since I reset it. Today was a normal day, no problems except the gas gauge is showing 1/4 tank lower than it should be. I only mention that to be thorough in case it is related although I don’t think it has anything to do with the problem. After I got home the car was sitting in the garage for about 45min and I jumped back in it to go out and it wouldn't start! It cranks and cranks but won’t turn over. I’m thinking it’s either gas or spark since it cranks fine and everything electrical works. So I had some spark plugs and went at it to replace the plugs thinking that maybe their due. I replaced them at 90k and had extras sitting around for the next time so I just installed the new ones. The old ones did look worn and had lots of oil on the back two plugs. After the install it still won’t start just keeps cranking so now I think it’s the fuel pump or something. I'm a DIY kind of guy but need some help. Any ideas? How do I check the fuel pump and what else could it be?

DUDE Im glad I found this post I have been trying to find owners that have the same problem as me. You fuel gauge will just get worst especially when its below the half and the reason that is because our cars have 2 fuel sending units and one of them is bad the one that measures from E-1/2 tank. Have you noticed that when its above the 1/2 it works great and when it falls below it start tripping. I took mine to the dealer and the idiots could not find what was wrong with it when I told them what was wrong but because the car didn't do that when the had it. They didn't fix it so I called Nissan care and they told me that if enough people report the same problem they might issues and recall for this problem to our Z's. Other Nissan car have this problem already reported to them but not ours yet. SO Call NISSAN CARE @1-800-647-7261 lets get this on recall when you call make a big deal about it and hopefully more people will call I have posting ever where about this..
