Default HELP: Transmission(AT) wont shift into R

Anyone know what the issue is? When i drop the car from Drive to Reverse the car does not move, i know this isnt good for the car so i havent done it since the first time it happened, but if you give the car gas close to 2K RPM it drops into reverse?

I really need some advice as to what to ask to have fixed in order to not get bent over. Please HELP! ...

It would help if we knew the year, mileage, and if any mods that have been done to the car. Also need to know if there have been any accidents, bottom scrapes, or recent work on the car.

In the absence of more info, I'd suggest looking under the car to check for broken engine/transmission mounts which could affect the linkage operation. Also look at the linkage itself for worn or loose parts.

Something simple like you're low on fluid?

Or something complex like you've got a blocked/clogged fluid channel?

Some transmission shops will give free or cheap diagnostic checks.

Any check engine light or AT light on the dash? If so, ge the code read at the dealer.

But check ATF level first (car must be running) and fluid level should be between the notches when cold.

o ya im sorry guys. 06' 350z just rolled over 50k miles. No performance mods. Remote start and new wheels are all i have done to it so far. Going to take it and have the transmission flushed and filled and im praying thats all i will need. i have a sneaking suspicion it wont be. :/ (no lights are on, AT check or Check Engine light?)

Could be a vacume leak that assists the AT. But that's your problem to begin with. AT! Tranny flush wont fix anything, cept confirm you AT fluid level.
