Im 100% sure its your fan that isnt coming on that needs to be replaced easy way to check is let it get above normal operating temp turn on the ac so that fan kicks on and if your temps go down get that other fan replaced Asap.

I believe they are suppose to kick on at the same time. That is probably your issue.

I think they come together with the shroud, but if not I would go ahead and replace both. If one wore out its logical that the other might not be far behind...

you can just replace the motor of the fan. Just make sure you take the old one in with you so you can match them up so they dont give you the wrong side.

Before you start replacing them, get under the car and pull the lower shield and figure out if all the connectors are connected tightly. Our cars have varying fan speeds and will begin to overheat at idle after only a few minutes. If you ever hear the fan speed kick up at idle (first level of fan is fine, second level is bad) know the temps are getting out of hand. This is generally a sign of air in the system. Check your reservoir, if it is out of coolant you've probably have a problem with air in the system and low coolant levels. If the levels are all good and the connectors look fine go ahead and replace the broken fan/assembly.

I had a similiar problem , I ended up bleeding the coolant from the radiator and it went back to normal. I would do this before deciding on changing the fans.
