Default problems with the AC

the AC has not been used for about 2 years-- i put a new condenser in it and the line that goes from the pump to condenser
today i tried to charge my AC system
i turn the AC- ON
turn the blower to hi speed
and open the bottle to start recharging it
as soon as the system starts taking refrigerant in the clutch engages and the pump starts working
so far so good
the pump makes an horrible noise just like a bearing without lubricant and no cold air inside
there are no leaks and the system took enough refrigerant in

any help is appreciated

thanks

You already found the problem. AC pumps making horrible noises aren't normal. Either the pump was dry of lubricant and burned out, or the clutch froze.
