Default Tugging when Accelerating/Decelerating

Anyone know how I can resolve some tugging? Could there be something wrong, because I think I can drive smoother if this is not happening.

When I abruptly accelerate, there's a slight tug, but I would not go so far as calling it a clunk. This is more apparent at highway speeds, or driving briskly. Perhaps it's some sort of drive train slack for a part that commonly wears, or maybe some e-throttle delay I never noticed before? When I throttle lift at medium to high revs, i get the same sort of tug.

I have a used 2004 Performance 350z, at about 82k miles, likely with the original clutch.

Thanks in advance.

Not getting the "tug" - is there another word that describes it?

is there a reason you made 2 threads asking the same question?

...some slack before the engine moves me forward. I can fell the tug, if I place my hand on the shifter while accelerating or decelerating.

I forgot about that. OEM clutch with 82,000 miles. Time for replacement.

Got 99,750 on mine - no tug on mine. Have a friend with 137,000+ on his original. Then again, I have seen fools burn them up in 30,000 too so you might be right.

I don't think it's the clutch, because it is happening on my 3rd and 6th gears ...see my post in drive trains category, and transmission experts should chime in.
