A few weeks ago someone backed into the front end of my Z.
They didnt even have the guts to leave me a note.
Anyway. I took the car to the dealership to have it fixed. They replaced the bumber. Now the bumper color doesnt match the rest of the car. I took it back and told them I wanted them to correct it. They're saying that they cant see the difference.
And wont fix it now. All my friends and family can see the difference. Do you think the dealership is jacking me because I'm a female? What do you think I should do?

 

demand that they fix it correctly. Take it to another body shop and have them look at it. They'll be able to tell. Make sure the bodyshop isnt affiliated with the dealer

 

If they won't fix it, go to the Better Business Bureau and have it arbitrated.

 

If you used your credit card for it....call them and check if you can withhold payment...or even if they have some guarantee that would work too. They may very well intevene on your behalf. And if your insurance company paid....then call them first! Ask...no, DEMAND that it be fixed properly!

 

Yea I'd report it to Nissan of America if you took it to a Nissan dealer. They will have your back. Just have a man call if thats what you're affraid of, someone who will not let them push you around. This usually works for me. Good luck

 

Get your boyfriend, or a guy friend that doesn't F*ck around and get him to go in there with you. If It were me I would calmly ask him to do the right thing and try and level with them, then cause a HUGE scene and get REALLY pissed! (or pretend to be) Of course this probably isn't the best way to handle things but I think it would get the job done. Also, you KNOW they won't really take you seriously cuz ur a chick. I'm sorry but this is the truth, and no not everyone feels that way but you gotta realize who you are dealing with.

I went through something similar, except in my case, it was the dealership that damaged my rear bumper, and then was fixing it on their nickel. They ended up painting the bumper 3 times, and to this day it's still a different color than the rest of the car. I finally got tired of dealing with the idiots and told them to give me my car back. I simply hate dealerships.
