Okay I bought my 350z not too long ago and it’s given me nothing but trouble. I barely had the car for about a week and the car dies out on me but it turns out it was an easy fix (it was just a the fuel pump fuse).

A week later, one of my HID bulbs burnt out.

Now 2 months later the fuel pump fuse blows out again but this time it blows out 5 minutes later after putting a new one in. I know it has do with something shorting out but just don’t know where or what. Please give me advice or some suggestions on what to do. This is my only car. Thank you

 

sorry to hear that, usually Z's are reliable cars...what year is it? and what the mileage?

 

Stop replacing it until you fix the short. You've got a wire shorting out and it'll keep blowing till you fix this.

I know I have a short somewhere. The car is currently sitting in the garage. Any way I can trace the problem to the area?

 

have you done any elec. mods or changes to the car? once my car was just dying on me when i would be in a take out line or traffic the battery was done and causing it. after changing it. she was good to go

 

I did install a system in the car. I thought it was the culprit so I took it completely out and it still doing it. What was your situation similiar to mine?
