Default Cooling issue on 03 Z

Got up today and drove to work. After 7 miles or so wondered why the heater in the car was blowing cold still. Looked down at the temp. guage and it was just above normal. I would stop at a light and then go and as i would leave the line the temp. guage would go up to about inbetween hot and normal. Then it would settle back down just above normal once driving for a little bit. like a few hundred yards. All this time the heater is blowing cold. Check the coolant and it was maybe half a quart low but its NEVER had any problems over heating. im going to check to make sure both fans are working tonight. any ideas? its only an average of 45 degrees out side. Not even hot. Any help would be awesome thanks guys!

You most likely have air in the coolant system. Burp the system and you should be fine... If not the try changing the thermostat.
