A Terrible Story(Help?)

A while ago someone attempted a hit and run on me. He got stuck in traffic attempting
to leave the scene. I pulled him by the neck out of the car. We waited for the police together while I sat on him like a gorilla.
I filed assault w a deadly that afternoon. The state charged him w hit and run >$500.
He is still in jail 5 months later unable to post bond.
Insurance paid to fix my passenger door.

OP 100% did the right thing. sketch neighborhood in cali + in your words a "fat cholo" = do not try to jump him there's no way that would end with you winning unless you also happen to be anderson silva (in which case you can afford to pay for a full respray). LOL but why were you in the ghettos anyway with a 350z, it's not the most subtle car in the world. bring a corolla next time you chill in the ghettos, watch it stay pristine.

Yah people can say i could of done more. I probably could of. What was going through my mind was, wow this fool just another car in front of me. It cant possibly be a grudge thing cause he did it to other cars. So i thought this guy must be a tweaker or had mental issues cause theres no reason to key hell a cars. I know where he turned down the street. He is a local. Ill keep a eye out next time. I already bought a wooden baseball bat from my local sport store. I won't let it go the next time this sort of **** happens. Now i have to pay a 500 deductible for this crap. Also wondering, since the damage was extensive and covering the whole driver side. they have to repaint the whole car dont they? i have full coverage...i mean they just cant paint one side of it. or just paint the damaged part. The whole car wont look good if they dont repaint the whole thing right?

Oil pan was 120. Labor will be 300. Also the new pipe piece will cost 30 but labor will be 70. My car is being done at a Nissan Dealership. Do you guys think they are charging a fair amount? They also said that after they fix it they will change the oil and wash the car as well included with the repair cost. so total i would pay 500-600 for parts and labor.
