New Revision
NTB03-006A is not the latest revision. There is now a NTB03-006B that was published around Dec 19, 2003. I don't have a copy but saw it on a service reps desk.
I do not have a copy. Sorry.

New alignment settings for toe
This is very interesting. According to the TSB posted above the total toe in settings have been changed !
The toe in settings used to be 0.04in max. Now it is 0.08in max with that being the recommended setting from Nissan.
Hmmmm -- changing alignment settings and not telling anyone. Sounds like Nissan owes me a third set of tires....

Do they want negative publicity? How does an owner find out about an official alignment change and not have to read it at this site?

This appears to be a result of the Japanese engineers that came over November and told the people whose cars they inspected to change the settings to 0.08 or 2 degrees. Several of us contacted NNA and we didn't get any feedback about the new settings other than what we read from owners whose cars were changed. No official word from NNA, why aren't we informed?

Dealer: "We set the toe at 2mm like you said and it ate another set of tires."
Nissan: "Then you didn't do it right."
Dealer: "Ok we'll do it again but what do we do about the tires?"
Nissan: "Swap them left to right."
Dealer: "But they are cupped on both sides."
Nissan: "Take them over to the body shop and have them level the ridges out with a high speed grinder."
Dealer: "What have you guys been smoking over there and can I have some?"
Nissan: "Ok, tell him your ordering new tires but their is a backorder and it will take, (background) how long before his lemon law rights period expires...6 months, Tell him it will take six months.
Dealer: "Wow, you guys should be in the car sales business. You have all the right skills. Hey, you are in the car sales business."

P.S. I just called my dealer who said they couldn't find it on the Nissan Assist website where they get their Recall and TSB information. So, it is not readily available to all dealers at this time. I told my service writer I would apprciate his call if/when this document shows up. He agreed to do so. I will sit tight on any changes until this TSB is termed "official".
Also, the numbers of the TSB are NTB03-006A AND NTB03-006B, which one, if either, are correct?
