Default Help Trunk Light

Ok so a friend and I installed some led's i bought a while back, we connected them directly to the trunk light so they just turn on at night when I open up the hatch. They have been installed for a good 2 months. Until last week I was working on the and rewiring the wires to hide them behind the panels but now they wont turn on. I did take a long time and the hatch was open for a long time idk if it has to do with anything. I CHECKED THE LED already and the do work. When I connect the old bulb back in the socket that wont work, I don't have a voltmeter right now so I can't check the wires.

What could it be? Fuse? I have not cut any wires the LED strip just plug in directly to the original socket.

Heres a pic of the lights on. lol

loose connection is my first guess since you rewired it.

unplug the negative terminal on your battery for about 15 minutes and pump the brake pedals a few time while you wait. that should solve it.

Without a DMM, you can't even begin to test electrical components. Harbor Freight sells a cheap analog one for like $10.

But can it be a fuse or something?
Weird situation because the leds work fine tested them out on the
license plate connectors. So I know its the trunk connector?
