Default New Z, Clean Carfax, Signs of Previous Accident?

So I just got a Z! But.. after pulling of some door panels to replace speakers, the car definately seems to have been hit on the drivers side, and looks to have been taken apart before, multiple times. Now I bought this car not even a week ago from a Dealer who assured me the car had not been in any wrecks, but it does have a clean carfax. Grr!

From the CARFAX website:
"The CARFAX database contains accident indicators and service records from thousands of sources. Still, there may be an event in a vehicle's history that was not reported to CARFAX. We recommend that you have a car inspected by a qualified mechanic before you buy."

It' is very common for vehicles with a clean carfax to have been in accidents before. As far as I know, if the accident wasn't reported to insurance and fixed on the owner's own dime, there won't be a carfax event.

If it seems to be a major concern, have a body shop check it out. It'll cost you a little bit, but they can throw it on the rack and make sure your car's still straight.

Very true if insurance knows nothing then its still clean title etc... when in reality it shouldn't be. If you take car of stuff your self then there's really no proof it happened.. "legally"

Clean carfax means nothing. If someone got in a hit and run and takes off then pay a body shop to fix the damage, it goes undocumented.

Take pics of it so we can see.
