Default Abs, vdc/off, slip light is on! Code=c1142. Help please

hey guys, i have the abs, vdc/off, and slip light come on at the same time every time i brake hard. when i turn off the car and turn it back on, the light disappears but it comes back on immediately as soon as i brake hard again. the brake works fine and everything but i never really had the time to get these checked so it's been like this for a while now...

the actual name for this problem is: ABS pressure censor circuit (code=C1142) fault.

does anyone know what's causing this and/or how to prevent this??
i've been to numerous auto shops and they don't seem to know. they restarted the computer system many times, but it comes back on when i brake hard again. i want to do everything i can in order to avoid going to nissan because i know they'll charge me $10,000 no matter what the problem is....

help please!! thanks guys

It could be as simple as worn Pads or low brake fluid level, Wheel Speed Sensor also needs to be checked, Could also be your ABS actuator going bad.

I had the same problem on my 03'. One day my brake lights were going out and the pedal didn't seem to trigger them. One of the troubleshoot steps with this is checking all the grounds for the tail lights.

It turned out I had a loose ground on the left one and needed a new pedal switch. No problems with the lights ever since. The mechanic thought that the bad ground was triggering the ABS/Slip/VDC lights to come one. Strange, but it worked...

Hope this helps.
