Did you apply dupli clear coat spray? I did and well now, that precision gray w40 is darker than my silverstone. Hopefully it dries better and lighter

I primered and painted my door handles, with W40 with three coats, no clear coat and its lighter than my 2004 silverstone.

I used the same w40 color on my silverstone and it turned out way darker than the factory paint; although, in some angles the paint does match. So in other words, its the same kind of gray color just a shade darker.

I think that because I painted it up close, for some reason it added more metallic pigment which caused it to look darker.

Maybe for your door handle you sprayed it too far, thereby not shooting enough of that darker flake.

I can post pictures if you'd like.

Yeah, I tried this after scraping my lip and the paint is definitely darker. It looks great in the garage, but the difference is definitely noticeable in direct sunlight.

Bumping an old thread, I know, but I bought some of this recently in K23 Brilliant Silver to repaint the rear bumper on my car. It is a great product - color matches exactly. Only thing I thought was that it has a bit more metal flake than OEM paint but hard to tell especially after putting some clear on. $7.49 can of paint saved me a $460 shop repaint.
