Window Motor Switching?
Ok heres my problem haha. My window motor has been giving me problems the past few days and I Plan on replacing it. But im going on vacation tomorrow morning at 6am so I cant get the part until I come back. I have a 4 hour drive going through many tolls and I dont want to be stuck with a window that cant go down for the entire ride. I dont need my passenger window open so is it possible to take the motor from the passenger side and put it on the driver side until I get home? or do they operate in reverse? This might be a stupid question but i figure its better to be safe then sorry. Thanks guys!!

well It wasn't working at all so i cleaned it out and made the connection better. Now it works sometimes but i have to keep hitting the window and fiddling with it to make it roll up all the way or down all the way. my main issue is that i will be away at lake george NY all weekend with no tools and its supposed to rain a few days. I dont want to be stuck with a half open window lol. I am going to do the reset in about an hour ill let you know if that works. But i would rather have the driver side working properly.

You will not be able to use the passenger side motor because of the way it mounts to the cable spool and door. I wish this was possible as my drivers side window hasnt worked since the day I bought my Z. I finally found a reasonably priced replacement and will be installing it as soon as we get a day thats below 100 degree heat index here in Missouri.

I'll be up in Lake George on Sun/ Mon and could lend you some tools. I had the same problem on my motor. I cleaned it once and it started sticking again so when I cleaned it the second time I used sandpaper on the connection points and it hasn't given me issues since. Are you going up for log bay day?
