Hey guys,

I was installing the st800 smart. system.

I pretty much got everything wired up and it was working with the exception that the car wont start.

So I went ahead and dced the st800 and put back the wires I had cut from the ignition harness that goes in the key cylinder. Which were the white/red and white/black. The other two black/red and white/blue states intacted I just spliced them when I had the st800 connected. Btw my car is 03 auto.

After all that I tried to start the car with my original key and the car seems like it wants to start but it doesn't. It keeps cranking but wont turn on.

If I put the key and put it in acc 3 all the electronic turn on and work. I have checked the voltage on the connections on the ignition harness and everything is the way is suppose to be.

So do u guys think it be that the car ATS that locked me out due to trying to turn on the car with the cut key and the bypass that came with the st800 wasn't set correctly?

And if so can I have a local locksmith come to my house and reprogram my original key again?.

Cliff notes :

-st800 install
-Car wont star
-car cranks fine just wont start
-baterry is fine
-electronics turn on fine when on acc 3
- I think stock bypass locked me out due to trying to turn car on and st800 bypass module not set up correctly.
-can lockmsith reprogram original key to start car?

 

I'm having the same issue with ST800. Everything was wired correctly and it even let me register the remote control.

Push Start button lights up when I was registering the remote but it went off shortly. I've even tried to start the car with the key but it won't start... The red light that blinks, which tells you if the car is on lock mode, won't let it start...Not sure how to get rid of this issue since the installation manual and user manual is so vague....

I've been working on this for last two days after work and there's nobody @ Auto-Innovatio to provide tech/troubleshoot support since they close @ 4pm PST. Can't afford to take a day or hours off just for this either you know...

Let me know if you figure it out...I'm dying to get this shiet done!!

I called Sean. We couldn't troubleshoot my issue. He said it could have been a short or that my stock bypass had gone bad during the installation.

I just called Nissan dealership and described my problem. They said it could b electrical since the engine tries to to start but doesn't seem to b getting enough power.

If it would have gone to safemode the engine wouldn't try to start at all.

So Im going to have a mechanic check it out at my house to c if he can figure out what went bad bfore I have to take it to the dealership

 

Just call Sean during the day when they are open so he can tell u what u may need to do.

 

have you guys figure it out yet? there are two starters wires for our Z. you have to tap into both wires from the input... and you mush tap into both wire from the output too. I believe i sold my system to Raceism. the problem with my car is that the bypass module is not working right for my damn car to start. I am trying to get another bypass to see if it work! and it didnot work!!! i hate this freaking system now!!! damn!!!

 

So did you finally get it to work and how?
