after about 6 months of running . . (approx 7 k miles) my setup (BERK hfc + s tune) has started giving a metal rining sound just around 2-3k rpm . . . strangely the noise only comes after 10 mins or so of driving . . . . any thoughts guys ? ?

Hmm sounds like the HFC's might be deteriorating if it just started happening.

 

are berks that bad ? ? theyre the same as the ones for the 370 . . . also anyone heard anything about heatshields coming off ? ?

 

I concur. Get under the car and gently tap the HFCs with a rubber mallet. If it rattles, that's your problem.

 

gonna check the next time car is jacked up . . . . buts its hardly been 6 months

 

i think i found out whats rattling . . . its a crack in the nismo midpipe on the weld that connects the resonator section to the pipe section . . . . my s tune was not new, was bought used . . it aleady had the crack when i bought it . . . being the noob that I am . . . i JB welded it (from the out side ) and installed it . . it was running fine for 6 months, but now i can see the jbweld also cracking up and falling off . . . gonna get this to an exhaust guy and see what he can do
