Default HELP! VDC sensor reads *OFF*

I just installed Nismo S tune on my car.
When I start it up it's fine, then when I drive it, the *VDC* light comes on (says VDC OFF) and so does the *SLIP* light. I can't turn it off while driving.
It resets when I turn the car off, then comes back on as soon as it's driven.
Could there be sensor problem..I know it's mounted to the front struts.
BTW I also installed new rear pads but I don't think that would cause this problem.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Based on circumstances, I would suspect that you either bumped a front sensor and unplugged one or damaged one in some way.

The fronts sensors are connected and they weren't tampered with in any way.
Guess they might have been damaged? I'll have to take look again.
Could anything with rear pad replacement have caused a problem?

Not likely the rear - those two sensors are up next to the pumpkin.

Pumpkin?
Is that the rear differential?

Could it also be that it's not within alignment specs now?
After taking off the suspension, could it be so out of spec as to throw off the VDC?

Update...
Filled car up with gas (tank was less than 1/4 when I had problem).
No lights. That must mean it's sensing more rear weight and *likes it*. However, when I corner hard on a sweeping turn the VDC kicks in the ABS much quicker. So I now need to turn VDC OFF if I'm gonna drive it hard (cornering).
Still gonna get alignment.

Is your steering wheel centered when driving straight? If you get the steering angle sensor out of whack, it can trigger VDC because the car thinks you're turning but you're really driving straight.

Good point!
Two things were off with alignment. Slip light came back on again. I noticed this morning that steering wheel was about 15* off center. But, the BIGGY was the REAR TOW on one side only. That side was -1.55* and the specs call for +0.05* to +0.12*!!!
The other side was in spec at +0.09*. Guy there said that's more than enough to set off the VDC alarms. Drove it after toe was set back to same as other side and wheel was centered. Problem solved.

Wow, 15º is a lot. That would definitely confuse the hell out of the car as well as the mis-alignment.

I'm amazed at how sensitive this system really is to any mis-alignments.
I'm just wondering how changing the shocks did all this. Normally you don't see any significant changes unless the car is lowered quite a bit. I only dropped maybe another 1/2" in the rear..it was already around 1/2" lower up front (stock) for some reason and that barely changed with the Nismo set up.
I think the steering wheel may have already been off..just never paid much attention.
Could be the added performance envelope exaggerated the effects of existing mis-alignments?
Anyway, this Nismo set up is very nice. I have the stock sway bar up front (same size as Nismo front sway) and a Tenabe bar in the rear which is about 20% stiffer than Nismo/stock bar. This really dials out most residual understeer that's still there even with Nismo set up.
