This would be better off in the tech forum.

Were you able to get it running? If so, how is it running now?

sorry man not too familiar with posting on here. it will run but the rpms will sputter to nothing after a high rev and it sounds like it has trouble to turning over? I have no idea what it could be? the tcs off and slip light came on which they were not before..

Just a suggestion. Put a subject in the subject line like

Squeaking brakes

instead of

Need help immediately

or

If you don't help right away I will die!

I guess I would start with the basics and go from there...

- oil level
- coolant level

The SES light didn't come on? Did the car get hot? What year is the car?

I really appreciate the feedback. It is an 03 and I disconnected the negative battery line and it reset everything. Today as I was driving it just lost power? No lights came on it just would not go anywhere when I gave it gas? All my electronics were working it just would not go when I pushed the pedal... Again no lights came on. I put it in park and started it and it was fine. Driving home the same thing happened... My rpm's just crashed? Thanks again for the help

Don't disconnect the battery anymore, it will just make it take longer for any codes to come on. Without a code # I wouldn't even take it to a mechanic unless they were good Nissan/ Z shop.

Try to find a safe area and replicate the problem. Note MPH, RPM, throttle position if you can when the problem happens. Assistant helps. If you can get the thing to set a hard ECM code this will be a lot easier. There should be at least a code in the TCM or BCM for the TCS failure after the problem happens. Not all code readers can get into those modules though, might need real scanner.

Didn't even think about that! You are right though I should have left the battery the way it was. When the car dies earlier the SES light came on as well as the battery light. I turned my car off then back on and it all went off and ran fine the rest of the way home. I will keep you posted on what happens tomorrow and let you know if I figure anything out. I love this site. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Thanks

You're driving along at speed and this happens or are you coming to a stop/idle when this happens? Does it happen when you disengage the clutch like you're coming to a stop (sudden RPM drop)? As noted above, you need to be very specific about the conditions that bring this problem on.

Mileage?
Recent maintenance?

I have recently changed the oil. The SES light had been on for a while, around 1,000 miles. I think it is because I am running lean ( that is what the guy at autozone told me) the car has 91k on it. It is an 03. It seems to happen in first gear because when I come to a stop/idle it does this but it also happened one time when I was accelerating out of first in to second. As soon as a light comes on I will take it to the local shop and have them diagnose it. I have googled this problem but I really did not know what key words I needed to type in. Bottom line is im losing rpms in first and when I come to a stop, I have to coast to somewhere safe, put the car in park, and restart it.

Yes dude! This has to be the problem. Thanks for the link, I read the post. That problem sounds exactly like mine! Should I just go ahead and order the sensor? My car is not throwing any codes because I disconnected the battery because I just put in the pop charger. The car did this before I put it in though.

Buy one of these first:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...i_sku=25981210

Check code, report back. It's best to be as close to 100% diagnosis before throwing parts at something.

I looked up the recall info and my car is in it. I am going to the dealership tomorrow and see what all I have to do. I should qualify for the recall though and the problem should get fixed for free... Although free and dealership are never in the same sentence so we will see
