Smile Your Front Caster and Camber specs please

All 350Z and G35 owners:

Your Front Caster and Camber Specs Please.

For those of you Ackerman Angle fans. We are currently comparing G35 & G35C specs with 350Z.
Specifications do not jive.

Although same parts are hung on each car. (Struts excluded) the alignment specs need to be examined from Data from you guy's in the field.

The G35C ( with better tires - ) does not have a TSB for Feathering yet !

Although the wheel base of the cars differ by 8 inches, the steering parts of the cars appear to be the same. ( AA anyone? )

G35 Sedan and G35C Coupe drivers please contribute too.

Aftermarket Suspension people please take note..

WHAT IT APPEARS IS THE WHOLE FRONT SUSPENSION IS WELDED TO THE FRAME AT A DIFFERENT ANGLE THAN G35C.

SEND This car back to the SKYLINE people and they can fix it!

Cheers Amy -

Its too late here for me to dig up my specs and post them. Do we have any baseline from the G35?

As I had posted in tire feathering, I made the connection that we have the suspension setup for a car that needs to be 8 inches longer. Only have the shared parts bin to blame for this one.

Cheap A$$ Nissan/Renault.

I had the TSB performed on 8/15/03 and here are the before and after specs.

Front Caster:

Left
Before = 9.26
Final = 9.22

Right
Before = 8.62
Final = 8.60

Front Camber:

Left
Before = -0.79
Final = -0.87

Right
Before = -1.12
Final = -1.13

Front Toe:

Left
Before = -0.02
Final = 0.04

Right
Before = 0.00
Final = 0.04

Total = 0.08

Rear Camber:

Left
Before = -2.03
Final = -1.46

Right
Before = -1.92
Final = -1.50

Rear Toe:

Left
Before = 0.02
Final = 0.04

Right
Before = 0.04
Final = 0.02

Total = 0.06

Swapping the tires and performing the alignment did not help the feathering problem and the front tires were replaced by the dealer on 10/23/03.

I now have another 1500 miles on the new tires and they are already showing signs of feathering again.
My 12 month alignment warranty runs out in 8 days (;<).

Smile Thanks

bosotheclown2002: All:

I just have recieved two new front RE040's
and a Front Only Alignment from NNA and my Dealer NGG.

I removed Eibach springs and installed Hotchkis 350Z Springs and sway bars.

Before alignment specs were very odd. Caster of 10 degrees left and 9.5 degrees right.

Still trying to sort out, what will fix Bounce and Feathering tire wear. I will try to use the scientific approch. Wish me luck.

Cheers Amy -
