No this isn't about a noise i hear while driving.

Issue: Start car (cold/hot) then put it in neutral and last i let off clutch and a weird humming noise starts. I press the clutch in and the noise stops. Nothing goes on or any of the weird noise happens when moving.

I know its not a throughout bearing as the input shaft isn't turning with it in neutral and clutch released. Im just trying to make since of it. Guy who sold it to me said it is pretty common on the 350z and it has made the noise since he owned it.

Is this a true thing? Seems odd as it isn't really loud but u can differently hear it when sitting there after you park it. I would think something is wrong with the transmission, hence the thread lol.

Thanks for the input, well I guess that's good news. Just seemed a little bit louder than im used to with other cars with manuals.

Yea that's the sound while running. Doesn't make the sound when I shut it off but the exact sound while running.
