Default Clutch Pedal Clicking sound

Just noticed today...when I depress the pedal I can hear a faint *clicking* sound..as if something in the pedal linkage is binding. I spayed some WD40 on all moving parts and linkage, but I can still hear a slight clicking sound. Clutch works fine and the sound is definitely around the pedal mechanism.
Any thoughts appreciated.

There are two electrical switches on the pedal assembly. One is near the top of the travel to disable the cruise control if the pedal is depressed. The other is near the bottom of travel to enable the starter circuit when the pedal is fully depressed.

Problem solved. Did more searching and found this post. I used *Liquid Wrench* Lithium Grease Spray because it's hard to get in there. This stuff sprays on and deposits a thick *waxy* deposit. You need to get it on both sides of the hinge area. Worked like a charm.

"I have this inside cabin noise clutch release clicking noise issue a while back. I found out that the metal hinges on the release spring (clutch pedal) is the one making noise. I went and got copper based grease. Put some grease on the area. No noise issue for 1 yr already"

You're the man! I don't think anyone had a clue until you solved this mystery.
I knew something was binding and I first spayed WD40 all over..no dice!
It's a very common problem and will drive you nuts because it really dampens the driving experience.
Thank you!!
