Stillen oil cooler kit came with an adaptor for a larger filter, so I had no choice. And I had just bought a 10 pack of OEM filters.

The exploded view in the video shows the bypass valve and anti-drainback valve in the usual positions.

At $12.50 each, it had better be good, but I doubt the engine will be able to tell the difference.

That's right..the GOLD though, is in a unique position...at the entrance and is intregral with the anti-drain back diaphram. That way it by passes BEFORE going around the dirty filter. Don't know how big of an advantage that is though. That design also reduces the size of the filter somewhat as well.

Here's the GOLD:

Well, it's a small filter to begin with and if you're pushing higher miles between changes with synthetic (me), it may be the way to go. For an extra $7...why not?
I think there are only a handfull of filters like this one (100% glass fibers)..Royal Purple..Donaldson..Baldwin (?)..Amsoil.

I like that. It's clearly shown in this video.

I also like the metal ends on the element. And, it's less than $5.

What a coincidence!! I picked this up at the Wix filter booth at the Ag Expo I went to yesterday. It shows the insides of the Wix/NAPA Gold filter.
