Default air compressor wont start

hey there im new to this forums sorry if i do something worng or mess spell something .

but ya my car was wreck front in and i started once to move it around the body shop my ac was blowing great super cold but then before the repair i had to take the freon out once the car once fixed and ready to run i put new freon .

i start the car and start the compressor and ac high and cold and waited about 2 min to see if it blows cold and noting happens just blows out hot air i go outside to see the motor and see the compressor not spinning i turn off the car check all fuses all seem to be fine i checked forums and check whats wrong and did not find noting so i decided to direct power it with the battery and as soon as i put the wire in the battery it start spinning i go check in the car see if it blows and it blows cold just fine .

i take it off and tray to look around the car if theres any wires cut or something wrong and noting good as new it was working fine when i toke the freon off and now noting

did you run a vacuum on the system before recharging?? could be the high pressure switch is seeing too high pressure with atmospheric in there and it wont start, also how much did you add? not enough wont start eater. you can unplug the compressor and check with a voltmeter if you are getting voltage to the clutch solenoid one you turn AC on

Get a copy of your factory service manual. Without access to a vacuum machine it's pretty much impossible to diagnose an A/C system though... If you don't have the equipment, let a shop handle it.

LoL at this thread... Take it to a shop, It needs to be vaccumed because if it has too much pressure your ac wont work, plus there still might be damage to ac lines thus NO pressure and no freeon to circulate the system.. Both connections are under the cover opposite the battery cover.

And the compressor also wont start with no freeon either. So it must have positive pressure to start. So if you added freeon and the compressor wont spin its either because you have a leak and are loosing pressure or its over pressurized...

Actually you won't know if there is an overcharge if the compressor is not runing because the pressure equalizes and it will never get to level of a high pressure safety cut out.

You have to check with a volunteer if you are getting 12v toothed clutch selenoid when AC is turned on. Also check if the compressor has both wire plugs plunged in , check if the pressure sensor at the receiver which is located on the Condensers.

You need to pull a vacuum from the system in order to remove air and moisture that could messs up the expansion valve or freezing it internaly

I'm a HVAC mechanic I do this every day. Granted I work on commercial systems which are 10x more complex.
