Snap my shorty antenna

Exclamation Snap my shorty antenna

i was reaching for something in my trunk and snapped my shorty yesterday. Now the bolt is stuck in the base and i cant get it out..any tricks on getting it out of there

drill it with a screw remover bit and maybe it will turn it...

Wow.........you must have a hand like King Kong if you were able to break the antenna by just reaching for something in the trunk.

nah..my belly pushed it Its maybe no more than a 5 inch CF wrapped antenna...Was reaching to far in my trunk and all i heard was a pop

This happened to me as well. First, remove the ring that sits on top of the body panel and holds it up. Then go inside the trunk and pop down the inside left panel. You can take the entire antenna assembly off from there. The I just set it up in a vice and drilled the old screw out with a thin drill bit. You could probably leave it on and do it but it takes like 5 mins to get it out.

i might do it that way as well.. i was afraid the downforce of me pushing on the drill bit would snap it to since ive snap a few thin drill bits before..thanks for the help everyone
