Red Blinking Security dash light ?
Is the only way to stop the blinling dash light near the firewall (seen through the windshield) is to disconnect the battery ? I have garaged my 2008 350Z for the winter and car covered. If I lock the car the light stays on (I'm sure it's a LED and not using much juice). If I do not lock the car the light blinks. It may not matter if it blinks or not .... just wondering what others have done ?..... or if it has concerned others as well ?
If you're storing it, you should disconnect the battery.

I wouldn't disconnect the battery. I would suggest getting a Battery Tender and keep your battery properly charged during the time of storage. You only need access to an electrical outlet. I have used a Battery Tender for years and if my car isn't going to be driven for a couple of weeks, the car is hooked up. I just replaced the battery in my '03 on Monday of this week. It had lasted for 8 1/2 years and I give total credit to my Battery Tender.
There are a lot of other things that are a drain on the battery.

A battery tender is a good option but don't get a cheap foreign one. I put my z away every January and don't drive it until April. I still have the original battery. I don't use a battery tender though. I may finally get one this year.
