Default Heater not working well after swapping the motor

i just finished swapping out my engine and the heater isnt working well. i feel a little heat while driving, but idle, i feel none. At first i thought, "ive seen this before on my last engine change, coolant is low." so I looked and sure enough, it was a little low because it had circulated through the engine some from driving/running. I topped it off and the problem persisted, but i only drove it a short distance. I checked again this morning and its still full (radiator).

Am i missing something else?

My new mods during the engine swap were a new mishimoto radiator and mishimoto thermostat. The car seems runs much cooler temps judging from the thermostat gauge, but i wouldnt think that would make the heater not work.

air in the system? alright, how do i get it out? let it run with that top vent open in the hose that i *think* goes into the heater by the battery?

Scroll down to "bleeding the system"

and using a Lisle funnel makes the job a million times easier.

You can also used the bleeder valve at the back, not nearly as effective.
