Angry 350z Exhaust Issues

I need some help!!!! My Nismo exhaust has no sound. Let me explain. I had to replace my Cats so I decided to get the AAM HFCs. Before replacing, the CATS, my buddy who owns a shop tried replacing the header. Turns out the headers that I got from Topspeed was the RHD version so we didn't put it in. He put the stock headers back on. After everything was put back together, we started the Car. As soon as we started the car, I get no exhaust sounds. Exhaust is very quite. No deep growl that the Nismo exhaust makes or any exhaust sounds at all. All I hear now is the HFCs when I drive. I have lack of power also. No accelaration and if I step on the gas I get an air leak sound and I smell faint exhaust fumes. Can it be that the headers might not be tighten and air is leaking? During cold days, I can see more air flow from the the right side, but the left side bearly has any flow. Its Weird cause not a true Duel. What can it be...

Been driving like this for a month. Buddy shops is an hour away so I havn't taken it back yet. Trying to save the trip. But the lack of sound and power is killing me.

Hmm...Maybe the cats cracked and particles clogged something up? I know the Nismo Y-Pipe is known to crack the HFC's and that may be contributing to an exhaust leak. Also, for those that add HFC's on the Nismo exhaust, it does get raspy at the higher rpm's...if that's you're hearing. But sounds like a clog? Just throwing ideas out.

So now you are:

stock headers, HFC cats, and stock NISMO exhaust?

Did you guys install the cats backwards?

Also, I have always noticed (on cold days when you see the exhaust) that with non true-dual exhaust systems, one side always appears to flow more than the other. Path of least resistance.

Not claiming I'm right, just throwing out ideas.

Cant tell the players without a program.

Lack of power means jack. You need a dyno run and examine the results.

The HFC was installed correctly. I double check. Initially I had an exhaust leak between the HCF and the Y-Pipe. Bought some Remflex Gasket and it solved the problem. When I'm on the gas, I do not get a raspy noise. Only Air noise. I'm leaning towards the header leak. After driving or when the car is hot, the driver side seems to have more heat coming from the hood. Thats where the OEM header was removed initially when we tried to installed the RHD headers. Thats the side that the topspeed header had an issue with. The right side was never touched.
