Default Grinding Noise after installing Wheels

So after searching these forums left and right I havent found a answer. Ive been lowered for a while now on Factory Rays wheels and havent had any issue with grinding or a metal on metal scraping sound. After installing my new varrstoens i am hearing this noise at low speeds or breaking. I cant seem to figure out what that noise is. Ive slammed on the brakes like 7 times at high speeds and seen the noise go away..but then it returns.... Anyone have an Idea?

Offsets? Do you have Brembos or aftermarket calipers?

The noise you hear is your car’s ABS activation.

Could be torqued too hard also. I think the specs are 70-93 foot pounds of torque on our lugs.

I assume you're using the same size tires here? If there was a change in offset, you could be rubbing somewhere. Check carefully for signs of rubbing on body/suspension. May wanna chalk the tires for tell tale signs. I don't see how wheel itself (tire makes contact) would touch anything..except calipers.
I'm sure your checked for that BEFORE you bought the wheels

or make sure lugs are tightened, maybe rubbing against caliper or dust sheilds or maybe your brake rotors and pads are shot

If it sounds like metal rubbing, id look at the dust shield.
See if it is touching the rotor.

Or try unmounting the wheel, then put it back on.
Tighten the lugnuts by hand, then torque to spec in star pattern.
Make sure there isnt a full load on the wheel when torquing.
Wheel might be cocked slightly from when you torqued the wheel, thus giving the rotor a slight angle?

its most likely your inner brake pads. i just had the same experience not to long ago. its probably the wear indicator on the pads because when i replaced the front pads, the noise was gone but i kind of had couple hundred miles left in the inner pads and the outer ones were still good.

list the size of wheels(ie: 18x8, 18x10.5, 19x10), offset of wheels(ie: +30, +15, +0), tire size(ie: 225/45r18, 245/45r18, 285/35r18), brakes(ie: stock, brembo, bbk), fender modifications(ie: none, roll, pull) and people will be able to narrow down your issue.

Yes, loose lug nuts make a cracking/grinding sound as they work around under stress. Are you using spacers?

Pull the wheels off, look for signs of contact. Make sure the dust shield isn't hitting the rotor. Check all brake pads. Reinstall wheels and torque lug nuts to spec.

That should cover all your bases.

These are all good responses, OP you need to answer some of these if you want to get to the root of your issue.

Sorry for late response... I work 11 am - 12 am... I passed out and just woke up... Thanks for everyones input also. Let me tell you what I have found out so far.

Specs:
VARRSTOEN ES112 19X9.5 5X114.3 +12 73.1 HYPER SILVER
VARRSTOEN ES112 19X11 5X114.3 +15 73.1 HYPER SILVER
FEDERAL 245/35R19 RE 93W SS-595
FEDERAL 275/30R19 92W SS-595
BOLT ON CHROME VALVE STEM (1.89")
12X1.25MM BLUE SPLINE ACORN LUG NUTS (1 PC)
LOCK KEY - SPLINE ACORN SOCKET ADAPTER
73.10MM - 66.10MM HUB RINGS 4/SET

2006 Nissan 350z Grand Touring with Brembo Brakes. No spacers but I plan to!!! I hear Project Kics are great
Dropped on Eibach Springs with no rear fender rolled...(im still trying to figure out how to roll my fenders since i cant find a shop to do it.)

So look at this guys I was playing around with a few things this morning before I noticed everyones response. I went down the road and pulled my ebrake and the noise stopped.. did it again and it stopped.. This forced me to believe that maybe this noise is coming from my ebrake. The car was sitting for 2 months at this HORRIBLE nissan dealership and I think they left my ebrake on for the whole time. I went to Autozone to get some brake quieter and cleaner and I sprayed all four rotors... The noise has quieted down some but its still there. Im stumped on what to do.....

Is this the noise you're talking about?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_zHPsQcg70

If so, it's your dust shields behind the rotors.
