Default Cruise control issue

Hey everyone,

I am hoping someone can shed some light on my situation. I just bought my Z about a month ago (03 with 50K miles) and just noticed that my cruise control doesn't work. The light on my dash (says cruise) will come on but when i try to set the speed it doesn't engage. I did some quick searching but couldn't find anything. If anyone has had this issue and can point me in the right direction as to how to fix it that would be very much appreciated. Or if anyone knows how our cruise controls systems work and can explain the system to me so i can try and trouble shoot the problem that would be great too. I just want to learn as much as i can about the car.

thanks everyone.

probably the switches under the dash are not distanced properly from the stop. Look under the dash and you'll see the CC switch. it needs to have the little button pushed in fully

Did you resolve the issue? I drove to work today and my cruise control was having the same issue. I will look into this also.

I got to check it out after work, I clock out at 5am. I barely use cruise control, but I want to make sure the switches work since I want to get UpRev tune and it utilizes them
