Drivers Headlamp Stuck on High Beam
Hi everyone, I am a new 350Z owner as well as new member to the forum. I recently purchased a second hand 2006 LeMans Sunset Touring that has been amazing. I found this forum and have already gotten a tremendous amount of information but I did have one question about a problem I am experiencing.
My driver’s side headlight remains stuck in the high beam position after the highs are engaged. I am aware there is a solenoid that controls the shade in the 2006+ models with the Bi-Xenon lamps. Hitting the light with my hand (ala The Fonz) causes the shade to drop back down leading me to think this is a friction issue with the shade versus an electrical problem.
I have searched and only found one thread where the owner had the same issue but fortunately for him he was still under warranty at the time. I am not as lucky I’m afraid and was hoping someone here might have a solution. Thanks in advance for any help!
